Statements and uniqueness points

To continue the talk about what you MUST have in your wardrobe, today I'm presenting to you the statement talk.

Besides the items that can match anything, you should always have in your wardrobe some statement items, weather you own a statement shirt, blouse, skirt, pants or shoes (or all of these).
And to give you an example, here's one of my last week's look with a statement blouse: a black base blouse with flower prints on the lower margin and on the sleeves that I bought from Bizz Look. (I've waited about 3 weeks for it but it was totally worth it, and it comes with the skirt). I recommend you to check out their page, you'll find lots of statement items.

What I added to this outfit, are some uniqueness points, something that defines me and something you should also have (the uniqueness points) : the knee long socks and the purple hat.

You can pick your own strong points to get you out of the ordinary, something that defines you and screams out your name. You can try accessories: jewels (necklaces, rings, bracelets), scarves, hats, gloves, belts. Or you can go for a specific clothing item to (almost) always wear: cardigans, a specific type of skirt/pants/dresses, shirts.
I have to admit, I don't have only one uniqueness point, I actually have one that I can never take off- my hair- but I seldom wear other items like the ones below.

This is all for today my bubbly bubbles, I expect you to add a statement item to your wardrobe ASAP!

Let's start talking about your wardrobe

Hello bubbly bubbles! I decided to try something new on the blog, something a bit useful, some advice you may find in handy so here I go...

Let's start talking about your wardrobe:
What type of clothes define you?
What is the star color in your wardrobe?
What are your main wardrobe items, the starting points among your clothes?
Have you ever thought about this?

These are my answers:
1. My style would be urban cool (but you know I am a bit of a cameleon)
2. I would pick black and grey, among all the other rainbow clothes I own
3. As for the "stars" in my wardrobe, well I have many stars but I would start with my shinny blue laced DR. Martens shoes.

As you may already know (and as I already mentioned in an older post) there should be some main items in your wardrobe (like the classic white shirt, a pair of black flats and a grey blouse let's say). These items should be easy to match as you can always start your outfit with one of them.
And to show you some basic items in a wardrobe, here's mine: a grey blouse that I can match with a short skirt but also with a pair of long pants. You'll see in the below pictures that I decided to go safe so I only wore grey and black, but that would be also because of the season.
Also a basic item would be the black pair of shoes Mine are a simple black pair of laced shoes but as you can see, they have "something to say". You can always go for a pair of simple black flats with that little something that makes them noticeable.

Now it's your turn to answer my dear bubbly bubbles! Show me your style and inspiration!

As days go by

As days go by Autumn becomes more obvious, but summer is very undecided. Now she's leaving, that she changes her mind and wants to stay.
The weather today is rather warm and I am trying to keep them both happy, so I've decided to wear my Romwe Roses blouse with a leather skirt and my new pair of H&M boots ( the second part of the shoe treasure I found last week at the shopping session)

And to top my outfit you'll see my beautiful nails, with a french manicure and Romanian traditional designs made by the very talented Sascha (and by getting the perfect manicure, I had the chance to meet a wonderful girl that is very passionate about her work, this making her great in her job).  I've also received from her some great advice about keeping my nails pretty and in a  good shape.
So Bucharest girls, I encourage you to visit her, I promise you'll adore her and you'll start loving your manicure!

Gone shopping

I know I know, it's not the best time for me to shop, I've paid for the winter holiday, it's my boyfriend's birthday, lots and lots of other expenses but I what can I do? I can't stop when I see something worth while. And I always (almost always)  buy only the things I really really need.
So just by chance, I haven't even planned it, I've ended up in a H&M store and bought myself two pairs of autumn/winter shoes, you can see one of them in today's outfit. The second one is a pair of Bordeaux laced boots that are simply adorable and I promise you'll see them soon
But for now, here's today's outfit: laced black shoes, grey hose, short black skater skirt, a grey sporty blouse and a  bit of color with a purple hat, a purple crystal necklace and a purple bracelet.
Happy autumn sopping cutie pies!

Mixing business with pleasure

Last week I've been on a business trip and for the first time I actually managed to see something new and totally enjoy it.
The trip was to Danube Delta and what I've seen, oh what I've seen...incredible places. I've been on 3 boat trips and enjoyed each one of them to the fullest.

And of course I did not forget to take some fashionable pictures with at least one of the outfits I wore, so here it is: an automnish combination of a leather skirt and a blue sweater, accessorized with one of the Peaceful People necklaces and my sparkly pair of shoes.

And here's a picture from the fun boat trips we've had! (in one of the last real summer days)

Tickets to Paris, please!

I may have said this before so forgive me if i repeat it, but I decided that my favorite seasons are Spring and Autumn. These are the seasons when I can actually breath but the best part comes when i cam mix and match. I am glad to go trough my autumn clothes and get some more.
Changing the subject, I bought tickets for Paris (for new years eve, so i still have to wait some time, but I've been dreaming for winter in Paris for some time).
So taking this into consideration, here's a frenchy look i have chosen for today, with a fancy hat, a long skirt, and grey black accents

You can leave your hat on

I sure can!
Hats! Hats! Hats! I totally love hats (and other had accessories but mainly hats)
This is one of them, my lady like hat received last Christmas from my sister. I don't often find an outfit for it, but when I do it's awesome. Don't you agree?
But you know me by now, all my outfits MUST wear my print. So I matched the big hat with a 60's style dress/blouse, a pair of black leggings and the sparkly sporty shoes I recently bought.
And let's not forget the Peaceful People black beaded necklace (a b-day present form my boyfriend, in case you forgot )
SO if you ever wanna get me a present (for whatever reason) keep your mind on HATS!

Melow autumn sun

Hey guys, the time has come, as this is the first official autumn day, let us welcome it together!
Many times I have claimed I like warm weather, but to be honest, spring and autumn are my favorite seasons (especially when it comes to clothes). This is the perfect moment to wear lairs, to mix and match and yet be comfortable.
For this day I have chosen a pair of black skinny jeans, with a white sleeveless shirt. I have added a black ribbon and a studded belt for more effect and keep my summery glittery  jelly sandals. I also have a simple black cardigan for the chilly moments, but not present in the pictures.

Let's enjoy the mellow autumn sun together!
